Bring on the summer!

No more 1st and 4th graders for me.... School is out!

We joined Taylee and her class for a slide show, an award ceremony, and refreshments. It was very cute. The kids all decided what award each student should receive. Taylee was recognized for Doing The Best Work! She was also very proud that she lost her tooth the night before. She thought it was perfect timing to be going into 2nd grade! I don't have any pictures of April and her last day in class.... according to her, 4th graders don't do that!

After school was out, Grandma treated all of the grandkids to see Ice Age 3 in celebration of graduating. Justin wouldn't sit still in my lap, so he stood as long as his legs would let him!

I promised my girls I would make cinnamon rolls on the morning of graduation.... but I forgot! (Luckily they did too!) So to make it up to them, we hit Kneaders this morning!

We are anxious to take a trip next week to California to visit Grandma, Papa, and Kyle! We have to take advantage of summer with year round school... they are back in school in 6 weeks! (it could have been 3! Luckily we got the track that starts later!) Bring on the summer!

That's great that even Justin went to the movie. I wonder how Alexis would do. She just does NOT sit still these days!

D and A tracks are the best, you get a little more time off. I want to go back to Cali too, take us with you.

Oh...we are going to have so much fun when we finally get together. When I read your post about no more 1st and 4th graders, I realized how close in age our older girls are. My oldest girls just finished 2nd and 4th. Although my "almost" 3rd grader is old for her age (a fall birthday) I think they will have fun together while we enjoy playing with the little ones. I think Bakersfield is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from us so I am seriously considering meeting you there. I have cousins that moved there last year and I have been needing to get up there to see them anyway. Is your hubby going too or just you and the kids? Don't know if mine would be able to go or not. What dates exactly will you be there?

How cute is that picture of Justin at the movies...? And your girls are just adorable...my other two children are 5 and 8, but we are on traditional track...I think year round is nice myself! But I don't think we will ever have that? Brayden went to his first movie today too! UP! He loved it and actually just pretty much sat in my lap the whole time, wanting to play with the 3D glasses...I see you are meeting up with people in Bakersfield? I live 2 hours north of that...That would be neat to all meet up, but I know everyone has crazy schedules...well at least I feel like mine is sometimes???LOL...when are you meeting up with Denise?

Well, have a great 4th!

How exciting! Hooray for summer! I remember when I taught year round school. Being in school in June was the hardest but I loved the September break. We could go to the beach for the week. The water was perfect and all the crowds were gone. Have a great summer!

Hi Emily! This is Stephanie. We met briefly before going to the movies together on Thursday. Anyway, it sounds like you have a daughter going into second grade on D-track? My son is going into second as well and has Mrs. Adams. Who do you guys have? We may end up seeing a lot more of each other in the future. :) Anyway, just thought I'd say hello again and it was nice to meet you and your kids. :)
